Our Technology

Intraoral Camera

DigiDoc Iris HD is a wand-like high-definition intraoral camera. Its small camera, located at the tip, captures hundreds of high-definition images per second, providing a detailed and precise view of your teeth and surrounding tissues. These images enhance our ability to diagnose issues and assist in educating our dental family about the findings during examinations.

Digital X-Ray

We utilize Schick Digital x-ray sensors for all our intraoral x-rays. Digital x-rays are faster, less uncomfortable, and less invasive than traditional film x-rays. The images produced are significantly clearer and more detailed. Digital x-rays are an essential diagnostic tool, providing a comprehensive view of the teeth, roots, and alveolar bone, thereby enhancing our understanding of your mouth's internal structure.

DIAGNOdent™ Laser

The DIAGNOdent laser enhances our ability to detect decay on the occlusal (biting) surface of teeth. By measuring laser fluorescence within the tooth's mineral structure, the DIAGNOdent laser identifies both healthy tooth material and early stages of smooth surface dental caries (tooth decay). Early identification of tooth decay allows us to address the issue promptly, preventing the need for more extensive and expensive restorative treatments.

Soft Tissue Laser

A soft tissue laser cuts and cauterizes tissue simultaneously. This technology may lessen bleeding, discomfort, and swelling both during and after the procedure. We often use a soft tissue laser for periodontal treatments by eliminating the infected gum lining, which encourages the regrowth of healthy tissue around the teeth. Additionally, soft tissue lasers are beneficial for gum contouring and crown lengthening, making them ideal for enhancing the aesthetics of your smile.

GALILEOS 3D Cone Beam CT

A cone beam CT scan is a diagnostic instrument that generates a 3D image of your teeth, gums, nerve pathways, and bone structure in one comprehensive snapshot. We generally use cone beam CT scans to obtain a broader, more detailed view of the head and neck areas. These scans are optimal for surgical planning, assessing bone structure and tooth alignment, and diagnosing conditions such as tumors, oral cancer, and TMJ disorders.
