Platelet-Rich Fibrin — PRF — is the next evolution in regenerative aesthetics. As an official CARE Esthetics provider, Luma Medical Aesthetics & Wellness Clinic offers the most advanced PRF-based treatments available anywhere, using the regenerative properties already present in your own blood to rejuvenate skin, restore volume, and promote lasting transformation.
PRF is an evolution beyond the better-known PRP treatment (the “vampire facial”). Where PRP is processed at high speed with chemical additives, PRF is centrifuged at a lower speed — one that preserves the fibrin matrix, a natural scaffold that holds platelets together and allows growth factors to release gradually over time. The result is a treatment that is three times more effective than PRP, entirely chemical-free, and completely natural.
Everything in this treatment comes from you. And everything it does, it does by activating your body’s own biology.
A small blood sample is drawn from your arm — a brief, routine process that takes only moments. It’s placed in a Bio-PRF centrifuge and spun at a carefully calibrated speed. This separates your blood into distinct layers, allowing us to collect a concentrated fraction rich in platelets, growth factors, stem cells, and the fibrin matrix that holds them together.
This PRF layer is then injected directly into the target area. Once inside the tissue, the fibrin matrix slowly releases its growth factors over days and weeks — stimulating sustained collagen production, accelerating cell turnover, and encouraging the body to regenerate naturally. This slow-release mechanism is what makes PRF significantly more effective and longer-lasting than PRP, which delivers growth factors in a burst and declines quickly.
A PRF session takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes from blood draw to injection. The process is described as virtually painless by the majority of our clients, and there is minimal downtime — most return to their normal activities the same day.
For best results, a series of three treatments spaced three to six weeks apart is recommended. Results build progressively over the weeks and months following each session as new collagen forms and tissue continues to regenerate. Results may last up to one year, depending on your individual biology and treatment area.
